Shaping ’27 Day 1
We have a big ambition at greehill and that is to change how cities around the world care for their trees. The problems we are working to solve reach well beyond any one city or country. A changing climate, pressure on public resources and the need for safer, more livable neighborhoods call for a new approach. Shaping ’27 brought us together to work on that future. One Company. One Direction.

25 August 2026 | Budapest
From 25 to 27 August, our global team gathered in Budapest. Gabor Goertz, CEO and co-founder, and Gyula Fekete, CIO and co-founder, bring together people at greehill who believe technology can make a meaningful difference in cities. These three days gave us time to work through where we are going, what we need to do and how we will get there together.
greehill uses AI and street-level LiDAR data to create digital twins of urban trees, helping cities manage urban trees as infrastructure at scale.
A direction worth working toward

Gabor Goertz, Co-Founder & CEO, greehill
Gabor opened the meeting at Twentysix Budapest with the story of greehill and our direction for 2027. His keynote put our plans for growth in the context of why we started and why this work matters. It also asked us to look at how we work, including the role AI will play as we grow.
We are taking on problems across an entire industry. That is exciting, and it asks a lot of us. Behind every measurement and software release are people making decisions about real trees in real communities. Our leadership keeps that purpose in view. Shaping ’27 was our chance to help decide how we will deliver on it.
An invitation to think bigger

Gömböc, the shape that shouldn’t exits
Professor Gábor Domokos, mathematician, engineer and co-inventor of the Gömböc, joined us for “Reach for the Stars.” His account of research, discovery and the challenges along the way stayed with people. In the feedback afterward, one colleague singled out both his way of thinking and how much we could learn from it.
Later, Flóra Bondici led training on objectives and key results. Teams then sat down with company leaders to work through what the strategy meant for them. What would they take responsibility for? What needed to change? Where would they need help from colleagues in another team?
The conversations continued

Dinner and cocktails at ISSEI Skybar & Restaurant gave those conversations room to wander. With colleagues spread across the world, we do not often get this much time together. The survey made clear how much people valued it, especially those who usually work remotely, our sales and marketing team represented members across nine different countries.
Geographic distribution does not change out shared passion for approaching smart urban tree management for more livable cities.
Continue to Day 2: working through the plans, then climbing to the top together.
