Shaping ’27 Day 2
Day two of Shaping ’27 took us from working around tables to standing together at the top of Hármashatárhegy. There was plenty to work through before we got there. We had spent the first day talking about where greehill is going. Now we needed to look closely at how we would get the work done.

greehill uses AI and street-level LiDAR data to create digital twins of urban trees, helping cities manage urban trees as infrastructure at scale. As we bring that system to more cities, we are also developing how we work together behind it.

Putting the plan to work

Working together and creating direction for outcomes
In the “Design How We Deliver” workshops, teams worked through the actions behind their goals. That meant looking honestly at the way we do things today: what helps, what slows us down and what we should rethink altogether.
“AI will transform every company, but progress without responsibility is not progress. AI has the potential to help us protect the environment, yet its own environmental footprint demands thoughtful choices.
At greehill, we will use AI with purpose: across our company, within our technology and in service of healthier, safer and more resilient cities. We are not simply improving the way urban forests are managed. We are creating an entirely new way to understand and care for them, one the world has never seen before.”
Understanding one another’s work

Our work connects across teams, just as our system connects tree information with action. greehill Metrics provides verified tree data, measurements and intelligence. In greehill Trees, cities and partners use that information to review trees, prioritize work and manage actions. Getting that experience right takes people who understand how their work affects the next person’s.
The afternoon gave teams time to work through those connections. One survey response put the value of it plainly: understanding what other teams actually do, knowing their pain points and seeing how we can collaborate. That is something we want to carry into our everyday work.
We are building technology, and we are developing the people and working relationships that make it possible.
Reaching the top together

Then we headed to Hármashatárhegy and climbed to the top together. Leadership and staff, side by side, as one team and one company. The reward was a beautiful view and a chance to stop and enjoy it together. For a team usually spread across different places and time zones, that was a rare moment. We had made the journey together, and we could take a little time to appreciate it.

Our night at Events Hill brought dinner, laughter and play. There were thoughtful questions, too, that helped us learn more about one another: what matters to us and what makes each of us an individual. We had fun, shared more of ourselves and got to know the people behind the roles. Those moments belong in the story of what we are building at greehill.
