The people taking us forward

celebration casual professional

By the final day of Shaping ’27, teams had plans to share and commitments to make. We had spent time challenging ideas, learning about one another’s work and enjoying being together. Now we needed to decide what we would take back into our day-to-day work.

greehill uses AI and street-level LiDAR data to create digital twins of urban trees, helping cities manage urban trees as infrastructure at scale. Our ambition is to help cities around the world work this way. The last day was about the responsibility each of us has in making that happen.

Learning as we build

“Scaling Smarter: Unlocking Growth Through AI” continued the discussion about how we work. The session explored opportunities to automate and improve productivity as the company grows. It is a change that involves all of us, and one we will need to learn our way through together.

That is an important part of our story. We are developing technology, but we are also developing people. We want colleagues to keep learning, bring their ideas forward and feel able to question how we do things. The openness and honesty people brought to these three days are qualities we want to keep.

Making commitments

Teams spent the afternoon presenting their objectives and key results, answering questions and explaining what they were committing to. It gave everyone a chance to see how the individual plans fit into the company’s direction.

We also had so much fun coming together to share our team names and personas. Each team brought its own personality to the room, and we enjoyed seeing our colleagues let their playful sides shine. This was the point where the momentum of the past three days became commitments to action, and we took those commitments seriously. There was still plenty of room for laughter. We could be open about the work ahead and enjoy sharing it in a fun, engaging atmosphere.

After the event, Gabor Goertz, greehill’s CEO and co-founder, wrote: “Now the most important part begins: turning that momentum into execution.” He set out the next steps: a leadership review to finalize Key Results, with Péter Gulyás taking on the role of OKR Champion to help us stay focused and follow through.

Gabor closed the meeting, with cake, celebration and good energy. One Company. One Direction. After three days of working and spending time together, we had more than an agenda to take home with us.

Proud of this team

We are proud of the people behind greehill and excited about what comes next. We are building a global powerhouse for managing trees as infrastructure. It takes a strong, inspired leadership team and people who care about the mission enough to challenge ideas, take ownership and stand behind their work.

The event received an overall survey score of 4.61 out of 5, as Gabor shared in his message to the team. The comments brought that number to life: people valued being together, understanding one another and having a part in shaping the company’s future. Their suggestions will help us make the next gathering better, too.

“What made these three days special was not the venue or the program – it was you,” Gabor wrote. We agree. The technology matters. So do the people building it, the culture we create together and the difference we want to make in cities around the world.

Think. Commit. Build.
