The importance of trees in urban areas is inevitable in improving the health and well-being of its citizens, thanks to their cooling, air pollution filtering and CO2 sequestration effects, to name a few. Due to climate change and its negative effects, it is becoming increasingly clear that we all need to make more efforts to protect our environment. Some parts of the world that have already realized this, such as Singapore and France, are making great efforts to improve their canopy cover and are setting a good example for the rest of the world.
